The Bible
We believe that every word in the original manuscripts of the Bible is inspired by God and without error. Therefore, the Bible is the final authority for what we ought to believe and how we ought to live.
The Trinity
We believe that there is one true God who exists eternally in three persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit- and that these three are one God; equal in nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of equal worship, trust, and obedience.
The Father
We believe in God the Father as the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. All who trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior become sons and daughters of God. Furthermore, He loves, elects, predestines, and bestows everything that the believer needs to live a victorious life and mature in the Christian faith.
The Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is God Incarnate, fully God and fully man; He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered his life as a substitute for sinful mankind. Through His sacrifice on the Cross, Jesus satisfied the righteous demands of a holy God who could not overlook sin. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to heaven to intercede for believers until His glorious return.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity. He convicts sinners of their sin, indwells the believer at the point of faith in Christ, and graciously equips every Christian for godly living and service.
Mankind
We believe that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God, but through the original sin of Adam all subsequent humanity became tainted with sin. Consequently all are sinners by nature and practice, eternally doomed apart from the grace of God.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, by faith alone, in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual or activity is required for salvation. Jesus Christ is the sole and sufficient savior of mankind. Only through faith in Christ can one be rescued, reconciled, and renewed.
Christian Living
We believe that Christians have been exhorted to live exemplary lives in gratitude to Christ's sacrifice, by the empowering work of the Holy Spirit, and to the glory of God. While we may fall short of God's standard, a consistent life in pursuit of that which is right, pure, and excellent is expected of those who've been saved by the gospel of grace.
The Church
We believe that the Church consists of all those who've placed their faith in Jesus Christ. She is God's primary instrument in fulfilling His redemptive purposes on earth. While imperfect, the local church fulfills this purpose by offering people hope and purpose by encouraging them to discover and develop a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Church Ordinances
We believe that Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Supper are the only two ordinances of the church to be observed until Christ's return. Neither are means of salvation but rather symbols or visuals of the saving and transforming work in the life of the believer. Believer's Baptism is a public proclamation of faith in Jesus, a desire to live in obedience to Him, and a commitment to the local church. The Lord's Supper is to celebrate the brotherhood in Christ, commemorate the saving work of Christ, communicate the return of Christ, and to contemplate our lives before Christ.
